allanbrowne just got back from being treated by Dr. Kostecki.

His post is here: http://www.thisisms.com/ftopict-11751.html

@Billmeik - I saw in another thread that you have dates for Dr. K in June. What dates did you get? I'll be there with my brother June 23-29th!

Silesia region is in fact flooded but not Katowice or Tychy so far. Kraków is also partialy flooded (especially places near Vistula river) but the airport is still operating. Hopefully it will not rain this night and the situation will get better soon.

Awful GP

Post by fiddler »

Vivavie, I'm sorry to hear about your doctor's attitude. My GP has been very supportive, not because he knows more or less about CCSVI and MS than other family doctors, but because he understands my situation and realizes that I did a lot of research beforehand - and because he has been around long enough to see some real paradigm shifts in the medical profession, and realizes this could be one of them.

When you get home and are feeling better, you'll have the energy to find a new GP, one that gives a damn.

Fiddler, I think the only solution here is to give us your GP address. My neuro laughed at me when I spoke about CCSVI and no GPs want to give me a refferal for a simple test. Well, Fredericton is far from where I live but I could manage.

I haven't any pretesting done. I 'm going on friday without it. I've pondered it over and over. I did get the referal from my doctor, no problem. I had callled westmonth imagioning in montreal. but i changed my mind after speaking with Dr Kostecki, he told me they don't need it. they would be doing it all over again. So if i went there and had it done in montreal, if it showed fine, if it didn't, i would still want to go to poland. So i made up my mind to go with out it. Very few are found not to have it . so the hell with it, it saves some money also. I don't live close to montreal, expensive flight there. I live in labrador city , if i fly to my own province on the island it's a thoudand bucks basicly ... Not cheap getting out of here at all. will spend my money getting CCSVI testing and hopefuly treatment.

Maureen, we are in the same boat exactly! I also felt that no matter what was found, I would want to be checked again in Poland where they have more experience in what and how to look for things.

Safe trip, please let us know as soon as you can!

Caraboo,

Unfortunately flooding continues and Kraków is in worse condition than yesterday. Bridges on the river are closed because it is no longer safe drive accross them and the water flooded some lower areas in the city.
But still it should not have any influence on the flights because Balice Airport is quite far from the Vistula river and this area should not be flooded at all. The airport is operating normally today.

Hi Mila77,

Thankyou so much for your quick response.
That is really good news the airport should stay open but terrible news
for Poland having terrible flooding. I was really starting to worry that I might not get there. Besides the liberation everyone has told me how beautiful
Poland is, cant wait to see it.

Many thanks
Caraboo :D :D :D :D
