No data on stents in veins
This paper is about stents in arteries, which are physiologically different from veins. So far, there are no approved (FDA/EMEA) stents for veins, vascular sugeons use stents for arteries in veins.
I have not seen any published data on stents in major veins, please post references if you find any.
Anyone wanting stents inserted in their veins should be aware of this lack of data and assess the risks for themselves.
Kind regards,
MarkW
