I'm not sure, but one would think that would be the case.

Any TIMSers have had the procedure done by Dr. Siskin? Have they chimed in?

I just got back yesterday from Albany. I had testing and treatment by Dr. Siskin on Monday 6/14/2010 in the hospital up there.
I had a small stenosis in the right jugular, which he angioplastied. I had one small and one large stenosis in the left jugular, which he also angioplastied. I had no stenosis in the azygous. No stents.
Unfortunately, I haven't seeing any improvements in my MS at all. 8O
I am home now, and completely drained. I actually feel worse than ever, but I guess that is from the travel, etc. Time will tell.
I'm thankful I was able to have this done, but obviously distraught that I see no improvements.

Dr. Siskin explained that there is still much to learn about all of this and that results of the procedure are varied.

pklittle,
Give it some time and just try to take it easy. The good thing is that there were narrowing that are now fixed.

Thanks, mshusband! Again, my only expectations of the procedure are to halt progression of the disease- anything above and beyond that is just a bonus!!!!

I wish you the best Boo! Wonderful news, indeed.

Where does Dr. Englander work? I've never heard the name.

Weren't you trying to go local?

Where did that end up?

KEEP PURSUING IT (please) - that's the advice I can give. Keep that person involved, even if you do end up going to Albany ... because it may help someone else. It brings another into this effort.

Yes, I agree with your assessments and expectations, We're in the same boat 6 days away from my wife's liberation. We don't know exactly what to expect. We hope for the best, we don't know what to expect, it's nerve racking.

On a side note, when it rains it pours - I guess. I just got a call from Marta at Euromedic in Poland with Dr. Simka for July ... I got an email the other day about an appointment with Ameds in Poland for July. And we're up for Dr. Siskin in August. All happening after we firmed up our other appointment which is Monday 6/28 at 9 AM ...

She is a partner with Dr. Siskin. She did 1/3 of my procedure - the Azygos.
