woke up this morning, and my walking is a bit improved today. Balance also on the plus side...what sleep can do!!

Got my first prescription of Ampyra 10mg this morning. Debated whether to take or not, because I may skew results of Liberation. It may also skew side effects, such as magnifying numbness, etc.

Decision; I'm going to take it...right now, I've got to try everything I can. If I have any side effects...I'll stop. We'll see.

pan wrote:Hi Anna, Imet you and your husband for a few minutes in the door way of my friends room in the hospital. I too have flown back home. Just have to say the first 2 day after the procedure I had so much energy and no ringing in my ear. Now I feel so tired, I never felt this tired before. Do you think they use steroids before, during or after the procedure to give us a bit of a lift.
Hi Pan,

I really don`t think they use steriods.. but I do have a little heads up about being tired.. One of my CCSVI friends had the operation done the same time as me back on June 1st.. She had a lot of problems with tiredness and couldn`t stop sleeping.. a couple of days before going back home she went back to the hospital to see the dr.`s where they had done a new doppler and blood tests.. everything was fine but it seems that it could have been her medication that made her so tired. They had cut down on some and after that she was able to regain her energy.. Hopefully for you it will be the same situation... As for changes... I have noticed no more pain in my right ear... my feeling of something in my throat is gone....my feet have improved from being frozen. my bladder has improved..and last but not least I`ve found alot more energy but I have a new symptom of feeling dizzy or like i`m gonna faint... I`m thinking it`s all about the blood thinners or the meds.... so not tooo worried about that.. but I wish you good luck in finding your energy once again...

Hi Devine, thank you for that. everything you said make perfect sense. I spoke with dr. Petrov on the phone yesturday, he said they did not use steroids. The only reason I thought that is because I never had them before, and the first couple of days I had so much energy. Dr. Petrov said that I may have re stenosis. I could have another doppler test in the uk and send him the result. You are right, it my be the medication. with more blood flow and being thinner, it might have a small effect on the heart working slightly different. I want to thank everyone with their support and comments. I hope everbody is feeling good and continue to improve.

I guess you could say a band of brothers and sisters unfortunately tied together by a terrible disease. I wish everyone all the luck in the world. Fingers crossed.

Did you know they do testing at the Falsecreek medical clinic in Vancouver. Iphoned there and they said they had 250 on a waiting list and that I could get in as early as this Fall
