False Creek Surgical
False Creek Surgical
Hello all,
Just home from a week away..picked up a voicemail from the husband of a woman scanned at False Creek. They flew in for the scan..results of doppler were negative? Said Dr C was unavailable ..scan was preformed by another? This woman has a very aggressive case.. 7 years from no symptoms to 'running out of wait'. I was very surprised to hear the outcome.. and then it ocurred to me that news from FCSC is very quiet of late? Does anyone have any light to shed on this?
'scuse the disjoint..mind is all jet lag jumbled..pCakes

When?
Any idea when False Creek is going to be IRB approved?

I understand that as a "private" clinic False Creek is not able as yet to offer treatment, despite Dr G wanting to do so (very much) as this is a profitable opportunity. To be able to offer actual treatment, the Clinic would have to be involved in / linked to a clinical trial; the University of British Columbia will shortly be starting its studies, initially imaging only with treatment trials following. False Creek could (might be forced to) wait for UBC, or it could link with another institution in a study relationship - the other partner doesn't even need to be in Canada.
Another "problem" is the need for hospital support which right now is I believe being denied thanks to College of Physicians etc.

Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency (CCSVI)
Hello everyone.
At this time our Centre does not have new information on the ability to offer clinical trials. However our Doctors and staff have not given up. We are continuing to seek different options and new opportunities for treatment.

Please don't give up, I so desperately need this treatment and fear I simply cannot afford to go overseas, possibly even the US. Please keep trying, please.falsecreekcare wrote:Hello everyone.
