Hi

I am going for the treatment with Dr Vogl next friday after having a venogram and it confirming that my left and right jugular veins are constricted. Has anybody had it done with him? I am very nervous and wondered where they go in to do the procedure, whether it is the groin or neck?

Angioplasty/Venoplasty catheter enters via femoral artery/vein in most cases. Sometimes the arm is used.

Vee, my wife had the procedure in the US - it's quite painless and safe. In nearly all instances they make a very tiny incision in the area low down where your lower body and the top of your thigh meet. The only pain my wife had was when the balloon was inflated in her neck, but it only lasted a minute or so. She was able to go home within a few hours. Of course every doctor may be a little different, but don't worry, you'll be very happy you did it.

I think there is no need to worry with Dr. Vogl. Those who have had the procedure with him and talk about it on the German CCSVI forum seem to be happy.

I only had the MRV with him and can confirm that he is a true professional.

Thank you for getting back. I am just nervous about it but hopefully it will be ok. There are so many good things I have heard and I just want to feel better.
