Oh my gosh, no leg bending and having to lay or your back is going to be torture The only way I can lay on my back is with a pillow under my knees and usually not for a long period as back pain becomes unbearable. I think I will like the heat and mosquitos better! Can't wait to see everyone! Will be there on June 25!
Diagnosed in 1986 - was RRMS now SPMS.

Our Tuesday flight can't come soon enough...

Just wondering, is there a bar or some sort of meeting place that everybody (being liberated) goes to? The Euromedic/Simka patients keep talking of meeting up at the SkyBar at their hotel, but wondering if there's somewhere similar in Tychy where we can meet and exchange our stories and experiences with one another?

Hi Bizzy, I also have a very bad back. I could not get up for 24 hrs because of bleeding. Dr K allowed me to be on my side, it's the leg bending that is bad or standing up. Good luck!

Whitey,

If you are staying at hotel Arena, there is a restaurant on premises where our group used to meet (excellent food!).

Hotel is no too big and most of us were next door neighbors to others.

We take the milk run Friday. Winnipeg to Montreal, overnight to Frankfurt then to Katowice by 1:25 PM. I say to my wife and friends that we are cautiously optimistic. She says thats right, I'm cautious and she's optimistic.
I guess that's why we get along.
Is there a computer available at the hotel or internet cafe close by?
People will be waiting for updates.
Peace
Steve

We took our laptop, there is wireless in the lobby but the rooms are cable internet - highspeed - and they have connection cords at the desk they loan you to hook up, So as long as you have a cable modem port on your laptop you're good :) We also downloaded skype and bought the unlimited world wide so we could phone land lines etc. back home for those without internet......yup hold outs in every family LOL

Jet lag was the worst part of it for me, and wouldn't you know the one morning I have to get up early I'm not wide awake at 5am LOL. I'm doing pretty good, you need to be careful not to over do it afterwards. I wore heels yesterday - yah! - and my legs hurt later on, I realized it wasn't the normal spasms but muscles that had to wake up and get used to working again. There's a difference between fatigue and tired that you have to learn, but my cog fog is much less and there are little things every day that I notice if i don't over do it.
I'm not looking at it as a cure, but a very effective treatment. I was thinking the other day that if iron is the big bad guy, and it took years to accumulate, that even though there may be differences right away (subtle at first) it would stand to reason it would take time for the iron deposits to make their way out of our bodies. I do believe that the better blood flow alone is more important than we gave credit to.
Ok, off to do battle for the cause and go to a meeting in legislature...wish me luck!
