yes, low grade head ache at the back of my head. I was told I could take one regular tylonol for it (because of the aspring we already take) once in a while.
I'm sure some of the issues I have are from the azygos, so I don't know what to think about that.
Oh, here's something new. I take Nexium from years pre dx antiinflamitories messing up my stomach. I went to fill my Plavex (still had some from Poland up until now) and my pharmacist told me nexium will inhibit the effectiveness of Plavex. She gave me the name of another one that has been deemed ok to use. I don't have a doc up here, so for now I'll have to try to not take my nexium every night. I wish my dr. would have picked up on that, scares me that I could have been more at risk for a clot, but she did say this was only discovered in the last couple of years.

We are still in Krakow but leaving early, early tomorrow morning for Katowice,Frankfurt, Montreal, then Winnipeg. Edith has been continuing to fight a chest cold despite of anti-biotics and cough suppresants. therefore it's hard to make to many judgements regarding change in conditions, but inspite of it all she seems to have more energy and much less urgency to urinate. Waiting to be home for a more sustained time of rest and then will be able to tell with greater accuracy.

Hi there Sue, Steve and anyone else lurking around. I had a headache post procedure on 1 July but it went away yesterday (to answer Sue's question).
Sorry to hear about Edith's cold---funny thing I've caught a cold too. I thought mine was from recirculated air on the long plane ride home but maybe I'm wrong.
I hope everyone from the Tychy group is doing well---it seems so quiet here with so little news from anyone. Are folks posting outside this forum? I know Sharokeen set up something but for posts doesn't it bring you back here? Miss you guys:) Heal well.

Patrice, it is quiet around here eh? I miss the chatter too, and wonder how everyone is doing.
I had a bit of a slide back day today, I keep trying to remind myself, 2 steps forward, one step back. I kind of hit the ground running with meetings 2 days after we got home, trying to get treatment for people here at home. I think I over did it, no I know i over did it, so like someone told me...baby steps
ah hem...but we would like to hear how everyone is doing...

Hey Brenda
I definitely overdid it, going to prague and then a wedding in calgary and then spending 2 weeks up at my ranch. Now im home and im going to do wome of this new improved sleeping that helps so much. Every time I get an extra few hours my numb hand gets a little better to the point where im quite sure Ill have that all fixed by the end of summer. Balance is bad, especially after a few days putting down hardwood floors...stiff. I need to just forget about ms, forget about walking, for it to go back to normal. Hope everyone is fine. http://vrhotwires.com/Bill_Meikle/Movies/VFMS/vfms93/
thats my spherical video riding a segway in prague. I did fall off twice.

Hi from Diana in Ulstron. Sydney and I have come to a hotel here to do two weeks of physio and massage after our procedure. This area of Poland has a number of health spas and it is rather nice to go into town and see other chairs/scooter and canes.
We had our procedure on July 4th night with Lynn. Sydney and I both got stents on the left side and angio on the right.
To echo what others have said, it will take some time before I will be able to sort through what remains better and what was the result of the up and down experience and constant evaluation of how I am doing. We have the benefit of not adding a long flight home to the equation.
Before we left the Arena Kate told us about Dr. Kuzmik's accident. I have been trying to follow how he is but it is hard. Kate was so upset it took a few times to try to piece it out. I understand he was crossing the street and was hit by a car. He walked himself into a building where he passed out and went to hospital. He knew one of his legs was broken but in hospital it became apparent that the other was also damaged. He will be in hospital for 6 weeks.
It is hard to believe that the accident happened after our procedures which ran late into Sunday night. Tragic.
The Arena Hotel was odd and empty. Someone came to take away the remaining wheelchairs in the lobby and in a poof it all seemed like a dream. I cherish getting to know such a varied and wonderful group of fun hopeful gamblers. I look forward to hearing about everyone via this thread. Diana

OMG I just read the post about Dr. Kuzmik being hit by a car. I had the procedure done by him on May 14th. Does anybody have any more information on how he is doing? Please post.

Greetings everyone.
I was not in Tychy with the rest of you; I was holding the fort and looking after grandchildren in Calgary. Who I am?? I am Mel's dad and Trudy's hubby who was at the other end of their Skype calls. All I have heard is that everyone they met in Tychy at the Arena hotel were the greatest along with the doctors and Katharine, Chris and Darek; altho Mel did have some difficulty communicating with the nurses.
After leaving Tychy, they had a 2 day stay in Krakow and got back to Calgary July 6 at noon. After all the hugs and kisses were over with, it was time to get on with it. Mel prepared their travel trailer and was off to Penticton on July 9th with her hubby Darryl and her 2 boys Blake and Shane.
Since she has not yet had the time to put her thots together on her condition, I will give a short summary of what Trudy and I understand.
After the treatment - Mel immediately noticed that her right big toe had some feeling and her toes and fingers had a more natural colour; not white or purple; Trudy noticed she was walking faster altho with her usual gait. Mel said that her legs felt much lighter. Mel also had achy pain in her neck area and her upper back was very sore. She also picked up a funny cough (probably from Trudy who was just getting over hers). Because of these aches and pains, she didn't feel that she was able to properly identify other changes which may have taken place.
One evident thing was that when getting out of bed her legs were not as stiff as usual which is a big plus for her since it was a very trying and difficult procedure to get out of bed or just to get up from a seated position.
On arriving in Calgary her brother noticed that her facial expression was more relaxed than he could recently remember.
I spoke to Mel last nite from Penticton. Her cough is now gone and her back is still a bit sore. Trudy and I expect to hear from her in a few days and we will post any new information.
In the meantime, our best wishes for all of you and your families and our hopes for a continued improvement in everyone's symptoms
Trudy and Grandad

Good evening from Tychy
Hi, it's me - Kate.
It's really difficult to answer to everyone by e-mail.
I have good news. Dr Kostecki is on holiday with family, Dr Kuczmik is in the hospital, for happy he will back to home for a few days. Don't worry for schedule on August, September and October - there is no any changes. Today I was spoke with Doctors, and they confimed all dates of liberation procedures.
Best wishes
Kate

I'm so glad to hear reports from the Tychy group.
Mel and Trudy we wanted to see you in Krakow but it sounds like you had a great time there as well. Our hotel was just far enough away from the Old Square that all the eating and Polish beer was being used up from all the walking and pushing Edith's wheel chair.
Edith also had a bad cough and is only now mostly rid of it. She has had a number of changes, more energy, less urgency to pee, and today she was reading normal print magazine which she has not been able to do in years.
Her walker was not with our luggage when we got to Winnipeg and when Air Canada delivered it today she said she wanted to park it for awhile. We'll see how that goes down the road. Has anyone else experienced lots of bruising after surgery? I like purple, but this is ridiculous. We have appointment with GP soon.
We are still trying to get over time change and Edith has been sleeping and resting a lot.
Diana and Lynn- enjoy the pampering. Hope you are doing well
Kate and your crew- Thanks again for all your hard work and care.
