Two months

Post by fiddler »

I was liberated exactly two months ago. My energy is still way up. I have more strength in my left arm. My mobility and balance are still a bit better - I haven't used a cane in a month. My manual dexterity is still better: I wear shirts with buttons on a regular basis again, and only have problems if I'm really tired from exercising or from walking around. So far, so good!

Three months plus

Post by fiddler »

I was liberated just over three months ago and in this last month I've had no noticeable improvements, but no regression either. My energy is still way up and continue to have more strength in my left arm. My mobility and balance are still a bit better - I haven't used a cane in two months now. My manual dexterity is still better: I still wear shirts with buttons on a regular basis again, and only have problems with dexterity or mobility if I'm really tired from exercising or from walking around (or having too much wine).

I'm at the cottage now for my vacation. Besides doing lots of repairs around the place, I've gone out sailing my little Laser, something I didn't think I'd ever be able to do again. My weaker left side still causes me to doubt how far I can push it, so no sailing in storms like I used to do. If I do start sailing in storms, I'll let you know.

Oh I'd say you have sailed thru quite a few storms, Ted! 8) Congrats on the good report for your 3-month mark and here's to even smoother sailing in the months ahead!

Thank you for keeping us updated Fiddler.

Hearing you have been able to take up sailing again brought tears to my eyes.

Heres to continued improvements and enjoy your vacation.

Seven months

Post by fiddler »

Tomorrow will be seven months since I was treated in Katowice. So far I have maintained my significant improvements with respect to fatigue and modest improvements in mobility, dexterity and strength. As the big spread in yesterday's Globe and Mail suggested, this is no miracle cure, but the improvement in quality of life is a very big deal to most of us.

I don't come on TiMS very often anymore, but I do continue to monitor the Facebook CCSVI pages and update my blog. I also continue to update my information on CCSVI-Tracking.com, where they now have monthly info on 300 "liberati".

Hi Ted ! That's wonderful news and so nice to hear from you again!

Same for me for the fatigue aspect (after 6 months) and can only share what you say about quality of life. And about CCSVI-tracking.com: seems then that we are joining forces on the fatigue and quality of life curve there :D
