One week!

Post by BooBear »

To the tune of the song from the same name by Bare Naked Ladies:

It's now one week til they'll look at me
See if my veins are stuck and all twisty
Six days til I board the plane
To get my blood flowing right again
Five days til I come back home
I know that with this team I won't be alone
Next week I'll lie in bed
But this time I'll be liberated!

It's all going to be good.
I wish everyone felt this way. All along I have tried to put myself in Neuros place and imagine how I would have behaved. I would have felt sad that ccsvi questions my line of thought, it pokes fun at me that forgot to see out of the box ... but I am not sure if I would have opposed ccsvi to the extent of willful damage despite seeing so many MS patients whose life is all about that is bad about what life is ... I then shake my head and continue with my work ...

Thank you, everyone, for all your best wishes. It is very real now and I am cautiously optimistic. I hope to report something to everyone on Saturday or Sunday of next week.

Fingers crossed!

Thanks to all of you for everything, really. Without this board, and without all of you, I may never have this chance. With 36 lesions and counting, I feel like I am a walking time bomb to complete disability. Next Friday, I hope to deactivate that bomb and live my life again. :)

My daughter and I got back last night and I am thrilled with improvements - not earth shattering but definitely impressive. Warm foot & calf, better balance, maybe better heat intolerance (hard to say since it cooled down today), while sitting with feet on stool I can point toes upward towards my head (which I couldn't do before). I will now pursue PT to work on foot drop. I had 100% blockage in left IJV and azygous was also angioplastied. My daughter had 50% blockage in right IJV. My prayers are with you. I loved Dr S, the facility and all the staff. My prayers are with you!!
