Is this a normal course for this illness

Post by tara97 »

I had an acute bout (2 weeks) 8 years ago went away for a year. one year later had another acute (2 weeks) bout then went away for a year then had a year long bout that progressively worsened then spontainiously remissed for 5 years. then came out of remission for a year and then put myself into remission with nutrition. before remission this time I had ataxia, loss of control of blood pressure, parkinsonism, apnea and I thought I was chronic for sure. is this the way it normally behaves. i know acute bouts and remission are normal but these year long bouts are scary and I know that I have to face more of this but after this long hard bout and acheiving perfect remission this time its such a tease knowing that there is most likely more of this to come. my uncle never went progressive until his death in his 80s so I hope that is me too. we seem to be resilient.

it differs for everyone. i

've from severe & chronic fatigue at least since high school, but i didn't get diagnosed w/ ms till 4 years ago.

when i got diagnosed i had 1 large lesion on my spine, now i have 70 lesions, & my neck & upper back hurt a lot.

have you read about CCSVI? it can completely reverse MS in a lot of patients. don't give up hope.

i got tested & my veins are blocked -- sounds like yours are too. if that's the case -- the liberation treatment will probably cure you.

NO ONE in a position (the IR's) to claim that CCSVI cures has EVER done so--in fact, they are CLEAR that it does not cure.
So please, read ALL the facts so you don't pass on misleading info.

agree, shye. to any new readers, CCSVI is a large and complex topic with many different patient states and possible outcomes if testing and treatment are pursued.

now I had the sensation that there was pressure in my neck like someone was squeezing it and then my eye balls felt like they were gonna bulge out. is that what they mean w/ veinous insufficiency. I watched a video on CCSVI and thats exactly what felt like was going on when that happen, reflux but I believe that was caused by disautonomia caused by an abrupt vasoconstriction, the blood that went up into my head through my arteries could not come back down at the same pressure because within seconds my blood pressure changed. I dont know that fixing that one little thing would correct such a pan systemic illness but hey who am I.

I think you are on to something tara--at least for quite a number of CCSVI cases--there is something(s) going on that causes the blocked veins (as well as in addition to the blocked veins), that is NOT rectified with the venoplasty.
