To Bruise or not to Bruise
I was on Clexane for 2 weeks. I must have got it wrong every time as I ended up with 14 bruises.
It is supposed to be sub-cutaneous so you pinch up a good flap of flesh and put the needle in sideways. If you get that wrong and go into muscle it really hurts. If you do it too quickly it hurts too.
All in all not pleasant. Most of the bruises went away quite quickly but four hung around for a bout a week after I stopped. They were big and looked alarming but did not hurt.

We have all seen on TV the Doctor or nurse point the needle in the air, and tap the syringe. This brings the air to the top and thjen they push air out and then INJECT
