The primary end point is 3 months. that is when the study will be unblinded and the recipients of the sham surgery will be offered the real thing. the study will then continue for 2-3 years to get the long term data everyone wants. he believes that primary endpoint will yield sufficient data to be convincing, based on the results of his pilot study. Because there are currently no FDA approved stents for veins they will not be offered in initial stages of the study.

Annette Funicello, everybody's favorite Disney® Mousketeer, did send a representative to Dr Dake's party. Let's hope she was as impressed as everyone else who was there, including doctors and other researchers.
