so far .. 'the Dr Traboulsee drug pushing show'

how can this man possibly be objective in running a CCSVI study??

quote "treatment in not available in North America" !! did the continent divide while i was sleeping?

all vapour absolutely.. no content.

Dr Godley must be chomping at his proverbial bit.

Dr T is done now.. it's Dr Godley's turn!

Dr G taking the 'high road' .. giving Dr T positive support for 'some' of his comments.

Today's 'Preposterous Penguin' awards goes to.....

Dr Anthony Traboulsee!! raahhhhhh

"we have already seen cases where stents have fallen out and into the heart"

"Dr Zamboni found ccsvi in ALL 75 participants" smirk smirk

"current drugs (drugs drugs drugs) offered are safe"

"60% diagnosed end up with severe disability but this number has declined dramatically with new drugs" (how the hell would he know that!! rrrr)

"Dr Traboulsee, why does MS relapse and remit?" "Ummm..because it does, that's why." brilliant!

apologies if i've not quoted 'word for word'..

disclaimer.. recent personal and very unpleasant interaction with Dr Traboulsee might 'scew' 'twist' 'bias' my opinion.

okay..i'm done.. and yes, i feel better. :)

If my veins are anything to go by, remitting == corollary growth.

I think you mean collateral growth, correct? Some other thoughts, I believe that at least one or two people have reported that stenoses have been found to come and go. Perhaps this could be related to relapse/remission? Or, the variable stenoses could be related to the issue of upper vs. lower jugular stenosis discussed in Dr. Sclafani's thread. Additional thoughts, perhaps the brain reaches a tipping point with reduced blood flow, increased oligodendrocyte damage, increased blood brain barrier permeability and immune cell entry, that it's like the proverbial last straw and the brain can no longer compensate?

What did Dr. Godley have to say on the show? Is False Creek any closer to being able to offer treatment in Vancouver? What were his views on the problems getting treatment in Canada?

mornin'

Questions posed re access to treatment in Canada were more general and did not seperate the public and private systems. There was some talk of Health Canada being slow to approve the necessary diagnostic equipment?? and lots of talk of the need for more research but no real answer.

Dr Godley was great, took the high road. He really has to be careful given his precarious 'place' in our public system.
