muscles still stiff after exercise - anybody else?
My husband had angioplasty about a month ago. He has seen some moderate improvements with mood, leg strength, energy and cognition and some impressive improvements with headaches and bladder issues. However, when he exercises, his legs are so stiff and sore that he has trouble walking for a day or so afterward. It is a real deterrent for him wanting to exercise.
Was just wandering for those of you who have had the procedure, is this something that was alleviated for you? I wander if this problem will get better if he would exercise more regularly. Any input?

hi there sgriff,
glad to hear about hubby's improvements!
quick question: has your hubby ever measured any of the common nutrients known to be low in ms? (and which are in some cases implicated in vascular health)? my spidey-magnesium senses are tingling..
just curious

My other thought would be, does it feel like a neurological or a muscular issue?
It's always good to check with your doc, but don't know if he'd know any more than any of us...this is all pretty new. You asked for people who've had the treatment to comment, and I have not, so hopefully someone else will chime in.

It does the same to me. Exercise just slays me. I actually do it for the feeling I get about 2 days later! I have had to really work on what's too much and what's too little because that's very important. It's hard to find that middle ground, but I had to as too much was killing me but not enough is not good either.

hi all, this is my third week after a stent, and i went back to my pool and did 1/2 the exercises i was doing before.
i thought i was going to die the next day. I think it's just as Loobie said, it's almost a damn if you do and damned if you don't.
Sooooooooooooo, today, i will do 1/4 and stay at that level for awhile. play is good, just moving is half the battle.
