"Insufficiency (CCVI) and its role in Multiple Sclerosis. The concept of cerebral venous obstruction causing tissue damage in the brain similar to the way it causes tissue damage in the lower extremities is a completely novel approach to MS research which could be a “sea change” in the understanding and treatment of this condition. Dr. Melvin Rosenblatt, ACP Congress Chairman, stated: “This work is remarkably innovative and offers hope to those afflicted with this difficult to treat illness.” "

I am getting more and more dense in the head, and so, have trouble understanding things, so I am going to ask; what does it mean when someone posts without writing anything, such as sbr has done above. Sometimes people just quote someone else without adding anything. I have been on blogs for years, and been a site administrator, and I have never seen it before.sbr487 wrote::D
Excuse my OT question.
Edit: Oh, I see that sbr had an emoticon there (once I quoted him it shows as :D). I have them blocked because anything that moves on a page confuses and stresses me (even the blinking cursor).

Yes, the quoting what people say, without adding anything...what's the point. ..isn't it easier to say "I agree". Personally, I think if the posts have nothing of value to add to the conversation (for instance lots of congratulating), they shouldn't be written, as it just makes for more pointless reading. It's hard enough to sift through everything, so that I can't be bothered most of the time. It would be nice if people considered not posting, after all, there is no prize for having posted the mostest.
That's what I was wondering ... but then what would be the use of an idiom, hannakat wrote:Okay, then why not PM instead of add clutter to a thread to ask a question or make a comment that doesn't contribute to the conversation?

A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it
