18th Slovak Angiological Congress with prof. Simka

Post by ErikaSlovakia »

There is nothing really new what you do not know.

- prof. Simka also used part of his new study during his presentation
- a Slovak doctor was also presenting his 7 CCSVI cases/procedures
- 700 procedures done in Katowice
- team in Katowice is starting very soon to work on something else what might have some benefits for us
- good news for Slovak patients: official study is starting very soon (maybe next week) with the "blessing" of the Slovak head of neurology
- my vein is patent, without any hyperplasia, no thrombosis of course, still very slow blood flow (we do not know if it is OK or if it might be a problem)
- it is VERY good fresh air here

- Jan. 19, 11: control venography in Katowice - negative but I feel worse

I am back at home, of course extremely tired, weak and dizzy.
As soon as at least a little part of my brain will be able to do something I will post prof. Simka´s presentation and in case I get a permission also a presentation from Dr. Madaric (Slovakia - they have done 7 procedures), too.

Dear Esta!
Maybe it is not a problem at all that my blood flow is so slow.
Science these day simply does not know it. At the moment I can not do anything - some of you know I did a lot, I think maximum.
I understand you are not happy to hear that but we must be patient and wait for new discoveries - I think.

http://sofista.sk/documents/CCSVI%20&%2 ... 202010.ppt

This is the presentation of prof. Simka from the 18th Slovak Angiological Congress.

I have not mentioned one important thing: he became a professor at the end of September 2010 - so only couple of days ago.
Congratulations prof. Simka!

This is the second presentation of prof. Simka from the Congress in Slovakia: http://sofista.sk/documents/safety%20of ... 0Simka.ppt

He had 2, so this is the second and last.
This is about the safety of the procedure.

The 6 month benefits seem significant, but not dramatic. Does anyone know if the 1 year results are better?

There are no 1 year results from Katowice yet.
I was the second patient. The first was done 2 weeks before me and the third I think 1 week after me. I am 11 months after the procedure.
Anyway, I am only one number and it has no statistical meaning.
I am afraid we simply must wait longer time.
