Really like this text. I was looking into MS, the research and the treatment of it for about 5 years now. I was never satisfied with the outcome of the approved therapies, doesn't matter which study you look at. 4 of the 5 years this was unrelated to CCSVI, of course, but was the cause why I looked into CCSVI. (just like anybody else, I think.)
It's just like Dr. Hubbard said in his speech. Basically they try to find substances that act like steroids with less side effects when taken permanently. Well... let's say other side effects.
Not only they don't know the cause of MS. They don't know the mechanism of CRAB&Co. either, or at least they found out a long time after it was recommended and is still to be proven.
But I wouldn't call them snake oil. Because there's no snake on earth that is rare enough to justify the prices.
On the other hand, I think it's not very helpful to accuse them selling snake oil. The counterquestion rather should be something like "You say you solely rely on evidence-based research. You say this is snake oil. So I assume you can show me the trial?"
"There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance." Socrates
