clot

Post by Peaches1 »

Update - I am going back to NY this Wed, angio Thurs AM to get clot.
I will be back on Comadin soon after, with see a local cardio for reg blood test and maintance.

I told the doc my local doc and myself sort of dropped the ball because when I got back home, we didn't address the anti cardiolipid antibodies that I have, know better next time.

I will let you know when I get back home for another update.
Thanks all

Best of luck to you this week. Looking forward to continue reading your story.
Please note to bring warm clothes! It is getting chilly up here.

clot update

Post by Peaches1 »

I just got back from seeing Dr S in NY. He tried to get the clot but couldn't
 He tried numerous wires or whatever they use but he couldn't get past the clot. He said he had 2 other ones where he was more aggressive and went above the clot (throught the outside of the neck) to get the clot from above it. He said later they still produced clots so he is hesitate to treat me the same way.
So I am kinda of bummed that he couldn't remove it.
He hasn't had that many ones come back with clots.
Am I that special?

Sorry to hear he couldn't get the clot out. Hang in there. Perhaps a second opinion might help?
