Hi, I'm new here and, while not a 100% believer in CCSVI, I think it could be the start of a move away from the conventional thinking on MS. I align myself very strongly with what George Ebers says and I am constantly astounded at how the medical profession can unquestioningly pump unpleasant drugs into people to limit lesion load, when there's no real link between disability and lesions. Personally, I think that MS is a catch-all for a large number of illnesses. I also think that a significant number of people are walking about in everyday life with lesions left right and center, but no symptoms.
Gone a bit off topic here, but I used to post periodically on Healthboards and the vitriol that I was on the receiving end of when I suggested that some of the posters facts on CCSVI were wrong was unbelievable. One poster in particular is so utterly full of nonsense, it's incredible. Facts wrong galore. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I got banned because I suggested, in a very matter of fact manner, that her comments were totally incorrect. "Not allowed to comment on clinical trials" was the excuse, however rubbishing new and exciting developments and suggesting that loads of people have died is permitted. Very sad as some people go to sites like that as a first port of call and believe what they read.
