Hubbard Foundation tests....

One of the MRI/MRV tests the Hubbard Foundation tests for is iron.

I was wondering if anyone has had this test and would share the results? Is it in text form or is it an image?

I know I've seen these results shared in the past. Quick search didn't turn them up. This all fits with where you're going with chelation and concerns about iron, I hope you find the answers.

You read my mind! Also the IR who did my first liberation procedure is now attempting to join up with the Hubbard Foundation IRB as his individual IRB proposal has been stalled since March. He is on their "map" as an HB applicant, but his hospital still hasn't have a decision yet.

When I went to the HB website, I noticed that one of their many MRI/MRV tests is for iron. I am becoming more and more convinced that Dr. Zamboni is correct in that deposited iron is the culprit that initiates the cascade of symptoms called "MS." It would be great to have an objective measurement of iron load both pre- and post-op to determine if any changes correlate with symptoms.

I had the tests done. The Haacke report stated that I had no abnormal iron deposition. I may not be the best subject for this test as I was only diagnosed last year.

I have studied hh's pre and post procedure Haacke reports. The scans were taken two weeks apart at Hubbard Foundation, but the the reportage of iron was unfortunately very different.

Although the scans themselves are operator-independent, their interpretation is currently still observer-dependent.

David - The Hubbard/Haacke protocol found CCSVI -- reflux in both left and right jugular veins, and stenosis in my azygos. A few weeks later, I had my angioplasty. The IR found about a 50% stenosis in my LIJV and 50% stenosis in azygos. Both were ballooned.

DrBart - do you mean pre/post angioplasty reports?


I will try to dig up my iron scans and post them here tomorrow. Maybe someone else can post theirs to compare/contrast.

The results are given in graph form with text interpretation. I didn't seem to have much iron in the brain but I have mainly spinal cord ms ? I had mine assed at hubbard's

I had the Hubbard scans and an abnormal iron content found. No numbers were given in the report but there was a scatter chart and I was above the average by about 45 units (visual guesstimate).

I have not had the treatment yet. I am waiting on a local IR's IRB approval.
