Is this Dr. Mehta's group? Do a search for "Mehta", you'll find the thread on him.

Here's his 21 page thread, a good place to start!

Somewhere in there is the arrival of drsclafani at TIMS. Good times. :)

What questions do you have about Dr. Mehta?

Hmmm, if you're self-paying, find out the price. I think it is higher with Dr. Mehta than elsewhere. You should be able to get it from $7,500 - $10,000. The reason Dr. Mehta is higher is because he does two procedures, he is cautious and does not want to balloon both jugulars in a single procedure.

Just a little update...my aunt had her procedure done by Dr. Mehta last week and he actually ballooned both jugulars at one appointment. He said that since she had come so far (from Ontario), that he would do both. Prior to that, in December, we had been down to have our initial meeting with him and he had said that he would only do one at a time.

That's a great update, Kleiner. Wonder if this was an exception or will be his standard practice. Hope your aunt is doing well.

Cracker,

Spoke with my aunt about her experience at Dr. Mehta's clinic. She had nothing but good things to say about Dr. Mehta and his staff. The experience was very smooth for her, and the cost for venogram and ballooning of both jugulars (one completely blocked and the other significantly blocked...not sure if the amount of blockage has any bearing on the price) was $12,875. Now, it's my turn to decide if it is the right time for me to go.... :?: :?: :?
