Dear Eric - '' get over it '' is not aimed at anyone in particular.......
You say this procedure can be had at a lower price ? That's great .
However ...... according to the BNAC 's letter ..... they are ONE of only TWO CCSVI Doppler training centers in the WORLD
I'm venturing a guess ...... Ferrara ...... is the other ????
I'm also going to suggest the costs are significantly higher in a University setting ...... compared to a Clinic .
In addition ...... the cumulative evidence .... of a University ..... carry's far greater weight ..... than a Clinic ....... as University's are more likely to produce unprejudiced not-for-profit .... documentation .
And this is what is needed.
So ...... it is my great wish ........ that 100's of pwMS .... partake in the BNAC Doppler testing ......
It is money well spent .
Mr. Success
BNAC now offers Venous Doppler testing for $675

Similar Price in UK
The price from EHC (Glasgow or Guildford) is 525 GBP (Pounds). Around 800 USD (Dollars). EHC includes omega 3 test and physician consultation in their price.
The key question is not the price but the expertise of the sonographer and having the latest equipment.
No doubt someone will post about price collusion..........
MarkW
PS I have no financial interest in EHC, none at all.

had doppler testing done in Ontario and my family doctor was supplied with a conclusion of findings....very concise and matter of fact....listing the criteria that were met to diagnose CCSVI. This clinic has technicians that were trained in Italy with Dr. Zamboni.
If the university is wanting people to have this testing done for a study I would think they should be charging the minimum fee needed to cover costs.

I'll second that. I had the test done 3 times already (2 follow-ups), each time I had great service, and received detailed reports as well as the CDs.

http://www.bnac.net/?page_id=649Is this test part of a clinical trial?
No, it is not. This testing is available as a service to patients who are seeking the benefit of venous testing at a center renowned around the world for its expertise in this area.
I was wondering too but I guess it's not going to be used for research.
