Another Newbie from NC

Post by NCLizD »

Hi everyone! My name is Liz and I was dx'ed in september of 2010 with MS. Was dx'ed in 2008 with transverse myelitis and syringomyelia and dx'ed with 6th nerve palsy (double/blurry vision). I have been on Avonex but had to stop as the side effects knocked me down for 2 days. Am to start on copaxone this weekend (3/26/11) and am scared to death. Not sure I even want to do it. I would stop but have new lesions. Initial lesions fading away but new ones popping up. I stay very positive and upbeat and you would never know I am in constant pain every day. Still working two days a week until I hear from disability (2nd try). This is such a great site and am glad I found it! Looking forward to meeting people and gaining knowledge. Married 19 years, two wonderful teenage children!! Peace and Love...

Welcome to TIMS, Liz. I'm also from NC, and there are others on this site as well. Hope you find it as helpful as I have, especially all the info and discussions on CCSVI (Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency) in MS. Best of luck to you.
