Cece - it seem like a trial at the Mayo Clinic is in the works.

This is from the Mayo Clinic too, probably associated with the ongoing trial?A randomized controlled crossover trial of aspirin for fatigue in multiple sclerosis
Abstract
Pharmacotherapeutic options for multiple sclerosis (MS)-related fatigue are limited. Thirty patients were randomly assigned to aspirin (ASA) 1,300 mg/day or placebo in a double-blind crossover study. Results favored ASA for the main clinical outcomes: Modified Fatigue Impact Scale scores (p = 0.043) and treatment preference (p = 0.012). There were no significant adverse effects. The results warrant further study and support a role for ASA-influenced mechanisms, perhaps immunologic, in the generation of MS-related chronic fatigue.

I have a question: Does anyone know if Asprin in contraindicated (is that the right word?) with Vitamin E? I thought I read that somewhere.
The other question is for Doc S: Why have you been taking it daily for the last twenty-five years? Just curious, if you don't mind.

Thanks for you reply Dr Sclafani to my question on Asprin. Before my procedure my son (a medical student) checked about taking Asprin when on Methotrexate and found it was contraindicated.
Do you think one baby Asprin a day would be a problem if I come off Plavix? I just want to keep the blood flowing!!

326 mg - isn't that one adult aspirin? I can't imagine any harm in that dose - I'm sure many people take a lot more than per day for years on end. HOWEVER some people can slowly develop stomach problems like a bleeding ulcer with long term aspirin regimens. Baby aspirin (81 mg) is what's commonly taken for post CCSVI and is quite safe.AlmostClever wrote:Question - can you overdoes or build up toxic levels of aspirin?
I'm on 325 mg a day but considering going to baby after 6-months...thx!
