Gardenia,
Hello. They are called intention tremors. They occur when you, say, reach for something. This makes them different from the kind of tremors that Parkinson's sufferers experience, which do not need a trigger. I thought that the reason I cannot thread a needle was because my eyesight is poor. It took a long time to realize that it is because I cannot hold the thread steady.
l do not know how it is treated, but someone at this site can likely help.
Good luck,
Elyse

Hello, Gardenia,

I've posted about my experiences with hand tremors and the amazing results I've had by exercising them, many times here at TIMS. In fact, there's a current thread in the General Discussion forum right now:
http://www.thisisms.com/ftopict-16926.html

In that thread I also gave a link to a previous hand tremor thread:
http://www.thisisms.com/ftopicp-66953-ball.html#66953

I was actually diagnosed with MS 8 years ago when I was sent to a physiatrist (rehab specialist) with a tremor complaint - intention tremor in my fingers. I got an immediate dx of carpal tunnel, MS, and HNPP (hereditary peripheral neuropathy). Since then, I've managed to regain much of the control of my fingers through hand exercises.

I hope these links help you to improve yours!

P.S. I'll end by inviting all the denizens of the CCSVI Forum to stop in at the other forums some time, too. :D
Dx'd with MS & HNPP (hereditary peripheral neuropathy) 7/03 but must have had MS for 30 yrs before that. I've never taken meds for MS except 1 yr experiment on LDN. (I found diet, exercise, sleep, humor, music help me the most.)
