As I stated in another thread, I was Dx'd RRMS in 2003 and have built up my fitness significantly since Dx. Now, I run ~20 miles a week, lift weights, do martial arts, 100 pushups a day, etc.
I've been on copaxone for the last 4 years while doing all this activity.
Yes, I'm having a mild optic neuritis only relapse now, first since starting copaxone, but I really don't think exercise brought it on or is making me less healthy. Gads, I'm down to nearly my high school weight nearly 30 years later!

There's the rub for me. For me at least, there is a DEFINITE correlation between exercising and feeling good. I get sometimes in that conundrum of not even being able to exercise as I can't exert the effort, but anything, and I mean even sitting on the floor stretching, helps the way I feel. Endorphin release, mind over matter, or physiological, I don't care, it just makes me feel better when I do it, but as civic says, overdoing it almost takes me the other way.civickiller wrote:since i started going on my exercise bike, i fell overall better. just dont push yourself too much.
It is a really hard balance to find. I am pretty overweight so I'm trying to deal with that, but I find I have trouble doing cardio for extended periods of time. So I do as much as I can and when I start to hurt I go chill out.
My old MS care place never sent my prescription for my cooling vest, but I'm going to see how it goes wearing one of those once I meet up with my doc again.
