Treatment of fatigue in MS patients: a neurocognitive approach



Abstract

The objective of the study was to treat fatigue in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) by a neurocognitive rehabilitation program aimed at improving motor planning by using motor imagery (MI).

Twenty patients with clinically definite MS complaining of fatigue were treated for five weeks with exercises of neurocognitive rehabilitation twice a week.

Patients were evaluated by Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS), Modified Fatigue Impact Scale (MFIS), MSQoL54, Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS), and MS Functional Composite (MSFC). Hi!

I dont suffer from fatigue at all, but my friend does. So I asked her if she had e ver had glandular fever. and she said yes.

This is only one of my theories, but is there an Epstein Barr link to fatigue. perhaps the virus lays dormant and resurfaces as fatigue. There was a lad on The One Show who now has CFS and had Glandular previous to it.

You see I've never had Glandular fever, coldsores, or chickenpox or shingles which are related, I wish there were comprehensive statistics on this, then at least I'd know I was barking up wrong tree or not.
