For all the thousands that have asked about my last two years, well maybe not thousands...
Guess the start was in the mid 90's, started having these strange sensations when I woke up from bed, not that my room was spinning but my brain itself was spinning within my skull, you had to be there. Then in 1997 I woke up one morning and when I stepped onto my left foot it was as if it wasnt there, totally numb, and yes its nice to have soft carpeting at a moment like this.
Doc said it was prolly a pinched nerve in my back or just too many times spraining my foot when I was younger. ~shrugs~
Also was still having those weird feelings of my brain doing the twist at times.
In 2000 I noticed my left hand feeling numb and once again, " It's probably a pinched nerve in your back." Ahhh, yeaaah riiight.
2001 woke up one day and the left side of my face was drooping like a birthday candle. Figured it was Bells Palsy, and sure enough Big Lee scores, ~swoosh~, I asked the doc if it was a pinched nerve in my back, and she said no it's what I thought I had.
2002 started slurring my speech and had short term memory loss, no it wasnt due to a pinched back nerve, just figured it was a from a hangover, not so. Didn't even bother with a doc for that.
Warning: Do not attempt this!!! While driving my tractor trailer one rainy day I started to see twin trailers in front of me, no not doubles but the same trailer in one lane. I closed my eyes for a nanu second and still had them twins in front of me, noticing now their brake lights were coming on. I tried to apply the brakes but for some odd reason my right foot wouldnt get off the accelerator. Not fun going over the speed limit with a full load. I grabbed my right leg with my hand and stopped the truck with the trailer brake.
After a swipe of my forehead I got back to the yard and decided to call it a day. Went home and mowed my lawn. Well started to anyways. After a few yards I began watching my lawn mower take off down the street, yes it is self propelled, as I lay on the newly cut grass on my back. Funny how everything seems different when your on your back.
Went back to the doc and I asked the question, " Pinched nerve???"
She sent me to a neuro, and after many MRIS and slightly painful tests, I am the proud possessor of this lovely disease. If I rambled I am sorry but you asked for it.
Big Lee signing off
