Has anyone ever heard of MS lowering your platelet count?

I have read that elevated platelet counts can be indicative of chronic inflammation, but that was in children with heavy metal contamination. Not sure if this is applicable to MS.

No, but MS being considered somewhat of an auto-immune disease many people with MS have higher incidences of all sorts of things. ITP could be one of them. I was pointed towards Copaxone because it does not have any negative effects on platelet count. And from time to time my platelet dips down. So put me in the +1 category for MS and strange platelet counts.
