Nattokinase banned in Canada

Post by BlondFog »

I've been using it for months, it's been available in Canada for decades but now Health Canada has decided it's not something they can let us have.

Nattokinase has been banned in Canada. No warning and no explanations. I'm trying so hard not to get stressed over this.

I haven't sorted out how to do a signature yet.

BFog,

I believe that a superior product, lumbrokinase, is still available. I didn't feel it made any difference . .. you obviously had better luck with natto.

Wow...scary. Here's another link on the story.
http://naturalhealthfreedomcanada.com/2 ... duct-gone/

Other useful proteolytic enzymes (protein eating) are serrapeptase-and Jeff does really well with bromelain. Always make sure to have your coagulation numbers taken if you are on a blood thinning protocol (warfarin, coumadin, etc) because these supplements might affect them. I worry that pharma will try to ban any natural substances they believe compete with their products.

PN mentioned lumbrokinase--and here's a biochemical Canadian company manufacturing it as "Boluoke" and patenting it. Interesting. Wonder how much they can mark it up?
http://www.canadarna.com
Here's a chart where Boluoke goes head to head with nattokinase...this company is trying to show they are superior...
http://www.canadarna.com/pdf/BoluokeVsN ... ct2004.pdf

maybe this move is to pave the way for biochemical companies in Canada?

Thanks for your replies and recommendations. Admittedly I hadn't expected so many people to tell me I should go eat worms*. There's a song about that but I can't recall all the words, something about nobody likes me and going down to the garden to eat worms, hummm, hummm, la, la.

As for how many worms I should be eating I'll head over to the correct portion of the board if I need further advice.

*one product is based on earth worms, the other is based on silk worms, weird huh.

hey blondfog, please don't take it that your post was unappreciated. i learned about natt. here. i was upset that it was banned. even called my local health store to see if i could still get it here. so far i can.

i know some of the worm song--nobody loves me everybody hates me-i'm going out in the garden and eat worms-big fat juicy worms-little squiggly wiggly worms la la and so forth. no need to go eat worms cause 'we love ya man"
