Repeat MRI tonight after waiting 4 years from the first one!

If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

Repeat MRI tonight after waiting 4 years from the first one!

Post by blondie33 »

So I finally "womaned up" after 4 years to schedule my repeat MRI. My first one I had was 4 years ago and they found white matter lesions. Originally went in because I had a ton of stress in my life and was having extreme anxiety and didn't believe that anxiety could cause me to feel like crap. So the lesions were found incidentally. Had a Spinal Tap done and that came back good. Never had any signs or symptoms of MS. Than a few months ago my friend found out she has an unruptured aneurysm which triggered my anxiety to come back full force so that's when I decided to be proactive with my health and just get this MRI done. I've been fine for 4 years without any symptoms so I keep telling myself that I'm ok. But I'm extremely nervous. On the first MRI I had it did say that I had a suspicious lesion and that word "suspicious" freaks me out. Hope all goes well with the results. Anybody here have ms and have no symptoms?

Good luck with the MRI, I hope it shows nothing.
Can't say I have no symptoms, but my neurologist keeps calling my MS benign because I haven't accrued disability. There are better and worse forms of MS. And it can take awhile to get a diagnosis. I also had no banding in my spinal tap. I had a lot of anxiety back when I had three kids under five, and it was at least indirectly MS related because the demands on me were so great and I spent every day well past my limits. It helped to cut back.
