Gait aid

My husband was diagnosed with MS eleven years ago, and up until recently it has been fairly slow in progression. We were reading online recently about something called gait aid, which is some sort of virtual reality device that supposedly helps the circuits in your brain rewire themselves ( for lack of a better explanation), which in turn helps you walk better, without the staggering and shuffling. I was wondering if anyone out there has heard of it, and if its worth the try. Is rather expensive.

I reviewed the information about it. The device may work BUT I would be hesitant about investing a couple grand in it. The person who developed it has no medical background. He has a doctorate in computer science from over 30 years ago. ( I have a degree in comp sci also.) ALL the papers published about the device were written by this same man. This makes one tend to think his papers are biased and not written objectively. This same man is the owner of the company therefore he has a lot to gain by selling his product. However, if you think it's worth trying, I would like to have you let those of us on TIMS know how it worked for your husband.

I will be sure to let yall know if we try it. Right now hes on ampyra and lyrica. The lyrica has almost completely stopped the pain in his legs.
