Diagnosed last month RRMS

Post by wolfette »

October 22, 2012...My neurologist looked at the results of my brain MRI and said there are multiple lesions in the white matter, what does that mean? Is this why my legs get so tired and feel so weird? It's my main symptom besides feeling tired.

welcome, wolfette.

white matter lesions have a number of potential causes, including simple aging. in ms, brain lesions don't correlate that well with the patient's experience of physical symptoms.

can you elaborate re how your legs feel weird?

Last month, in my neurologist's office, I could not feel the EMG as he was touching my legs, they are tingling constantly. He gave me Horizant (subset of Gabepentin) for the pain of cramping and contractions and neuropathy which works well for me. My legs feel like I have sandbags tied around them, very heavy, tired. I can walk so far and then they feel weak. My neuro told me I have RRMS.
