Need help, I am pretty sure my Neurologist lied to me!

If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

Need help, I am pretty sure my Neurologist lied to me!

Post by eveningmood »

Hey everyone,

I had a really bad flair up last year and wound up in the hospital and got steroids for the first time. About 3 months ago I had another flair up and I could tell it was going to be bad. I went back to so I could get started on steroids and he told me know and said they are like wishes from a Genie, they only work 3 times.

To me this sounds like a lie. Has anyone heard anything like this or what have they been told?

It is certainly not true that steroids "only work 3 times."

But it is true that there are good reasons for avoiding lots of steroids...

Some patients with autoimmune conditions take Prednisone regularly, it's a steroid.
