new symptoms or ???
new symptoms or ???
last night my wife said on the back of her head it felt like little bugs crawling under her skin. anyone else ever get that feeling? i was able to pinpoint the spot with my finger but she said it was below the surface.
is it a new symptom (ie new damage) or could it be old neurons firing again (ie repair)
the feeling is gone now.

Re: new symptoms or ???
I have had a similar sensation before, but not in years, and not on my head. I think mine was a manifestation of lhermitte's sign and I mostly felt it in my feet. I described it then as a kind of 'carbonated' feeling. usually would occur after some sort of mild exertion like walking across a parking lot. not sure exactly what the cause of this sensation could be, but I don't associate it with positive processes. I could be wrong but I just don't get the sensation any more. that said, your wife could be experiencing something entirely different. question: has she had all her levels done any time recently? if so, how did they look?

the more i read the more i think it is not a good thing. wishful thinking on my part i think. it was strange because she never felt it before - in over 20 years. no adverse affects today.jimmylegs wrote: but I don't associate it with positive processes. question: has she had all her levels done any time recently? if so, how did they look?
i was kinda expecting someone to say "oh yeah I had that feeling and next MRI showed new damage in the area'

yes she had her 'numbers' done and they were ok (acording to the official JL suggested numbers)

ah, the levels may have fallen off lately. can you give me an idea of 3 days worth of food and fluid intakes?

Re: new symptoms or ???
she is currently dieting and following WW. i think she should be adding suppliments and we will again after tests. we had windy weather the last few days and she did not get out in the sun.
as for water, she drinks all the time. she does slow down a bit when she is going out but usually she is good. she does drink diet pop which i know she shouldn't but that is her 'treat'.
she told me last night that she has felt this before in her leg but never in her head. i asked if she felt anything new that was MS and she said no. so hopefully it was some little thing and it will go away (so far it has not returned).

Just thought I'd share - apspartame (diet soda) used to make my hands go numb. I would avoid. No problems with regular soda.
