Propionyl-L-carnitine

If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

Propionyl-L-carnitine

Post by brm »

Hi all,

On another forum I came across this article: "Propionyl-L-carnitine hydrochloride for treatment of mild to moderate colonic inflammatory bowel diseases", http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23049215

While the article itself is not about MS, I was wondering if someone has experience with this particular supplement?

I've been trying it for a few weeks (1.5g/day at first, now 2.25g/day) and I have the impression that my right eye is starting to improve. I've only been using it for a short while, so it might just be placebo of course...

Cheers,

Thanks for posting. WebMD says it is also good for chest pain/ angina and vasodilation.

I may try this instead of the low dose aspirin I was taking.
