Drug derived from acne bacteria to be used to treat MS in Australian trial

A drug that contains a fragment of the teenage acne bacteria will be used to treat multiple sclerosis in a new Australian trial.

Almost 100 patients will be part of a trial to test the drug's effectiveness in treating the more advanced form of MS.

I thought your members may be interested to know about Innate Immunotherapeutics Limited who have developed a potential treatment for SPMS and the phase IIB clinical trial that the company will undertake 2Q 2014 at clinical sites around Australia once the current $12 million fundraising is completed.
