Post by Ginnygirl »

I am new to this Board. Am on Tecfidera and am suffering from SEVERE constipation. I want to write to another member on this topic who has posted she is having the

hi :) look along the bottom of the post - above 'post reply' you should see the buttons/icons for profile and pm. pm = private message. that should work :)

dont be shy to post a question in the forum itself, as there may be someone else has the exact same issue and would benefit from any response you receive.

As for the constipation, if you can stay at home for 24 hrs, I think a magnesium oxide flush (ie magnesium oxide powder, lemon juice and water) would be able to "break any drought".

yes true - magnesium oxide would do it for sure. you could take 200mg every two hours until you start to notice the laxative effect. and then stay very close to the toilet!!
depends on the individual scenario but I would expect things to move around the 800mg mark. I wouldn't take any more than 1200mg per day. it is definitely possible to overdo magnesium!

A year ago all my meds were causing serious issues with this I started a product skinny fiber (which I now sell) my meds no longer cause this issue and I lost 70lbs which has helped other health issues :) it is a weightloss pill but it helped with the constipation issue and I dont have to hover in the bathroom :) not my idea of a good time lol
