Quick question, your spasticity, what does it feel like?

If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

So very true Scott, it does creep up on you.

My legs started feeling strange 4 years ago. I do Pilates but not regularly enough. My neuro always asks if I'm doing yoga - the stretching and the mediation both help ms. But even before that, I realised I couldn't walk as fast....could't last as long....my day was shorter....

I also swim, I try and eat well and yes, I agree it's about doing something. When things got bad a few months ago I came back to TiMS because I knew there were people who would know more than me, had been through it, could offer help and support. So even being here is doing something - it's a learning process.

I swam this morning. It's easier than walking or running and the endorphins help. And that's also something I personally need!

I'm afraid we just have to be diligent. The hard things in life are often the simplest. I now do my Pilates 3 times a week. For me, it's best at lunchtime. It's simple to set up a regular routine but it can be hard to stick to it. If you keep going you will get some benefit from it. Once a week isn't enough and random sessions are practically useless. What ever you choose it has to be part of your life not just an occasional tick in the box.
The good thing is if you do something regularly you will find you're better than healthy people at it.

Good point Scott. I feel great after a swim though - and i need to do something aerobic to keep those neural pathways challenged! I will have to see how I can fit in some regular sessions.

JL - yes it's the knee joints. I have been stretching today. Knees need an oil change!

all right we'll move on from the anti-spasticity angle to an anti-inflammatory approach - hopefully we're on the right track now and can get you some relief :D

So, So True.

Therefore, we need to enlist the assistance of Habits.
I am really liking this app: iPro Habit Tracker Free

After getting the free version, I soon bought the 3 dollar version. Unfortunately, I then had to re-setup my desired habits.
