The sun is free. No prescription needed.
10-15 minutes of sunshine or UVB phototherapy sends Treg cells flowing from the lymph nodes to sites of inflammation in people with MS. People with MS had symptom relief in a study completed by German neurologists and published last week.

Why does the skin release healing T cells when exposed to UV? As Dr. Richard Weller's research is showing us, it's because of nitric oxide.Regulatory T cells (Tregs), which are induced locally in the skin-draining lymph nodes in response to UVB exposure, connect the cutaneous immune response to CNS immunity by migration to the sites of inflammation (blood, spleen, CNS). Here, they attenuate the inflammatory response and ameliorate disease symptoms.

Good video. What the video means to me is nature has created everything we need. Problem is we have created pills for everything. Spending time outside in the fresh air and sunshine is critical for good health. Problem is in the winter time the sun is at too low of an angle in the sky. I have purchased a sunscreen for the winter time. As the video explains it is not only about the vitamin D levels. There are other things at work here.

What about for treatment of pneumonia, appendicitis, perncious anemia, and various other disease for which the natural course is poor and untreatable in primitive societies.want2bike wrote:What the video means to me is nature has created everything we need.
You do realize that the average lifespan amongst primitive australian aborigines, for instance is <<< than that of the United States despite smoking, obesity, medical errors, sedentary lifestyle, et cetera.

Might be explained by endemic alcoholism, drug abuse, smoking, petrol sniffing, accidents, remoteness from health care, terrible diet, infectious diseases, and lack of exercise that are so prevalent in Aboriginal communities

So, anyway ......
The study looked at people with MS who live in Germany, and found that UV rays increased T-reg cells via affect on dendritic/ Langerhans cells (the skin), which downgraded inflammation and helped relieve MS symptoms.
