It sounds to me that the question you're afraid to ask is "what's the point of an MRI when I've already been diagnosed?" Maybe your doctor has a reason but that means your question to him should be "If I have the MRI what are you going to do with the information?" Ultimately that's what you want to know. Make sure you ask the question because if the answer is "Nothing" then you are entitled to ask "why am I talking to you?. You should never, ever be afraid to ask any question. There are no stupid questions only stupid answers. Most are well intentioned but you need to understand your own situation and try to run ahead of events by building an understanding of how it all fits together.

Re: the question I have been afraid to ask
I know exactly what the point was. My doctor wants it for a baseline and I also wanted to know if anything happened there too. Either way I am not changing anything...... my diet, weight lifting/exercise, nutrition and medication will stay the same.
The question was that if I already had lesions and issues with my spine so early on would that be a bad sign? I know that is probably unanswerable because it is so different from person to person. But can that lean towards a poorer prognosis?
I think you are misunderstanding why I am afraid..... I am afraid of hearing the answer to that being yes it can lead towards a poorer prognosis.
Either way, I know exactly what my situation is and what I need to do against it.

Good.
Don't forget this - http://www.ms-uk.org/myelin -The slightest change makes Myelin come unglued . You need a wider range of markers.

Yes yes yes, that website is the freaking best.
I made my whole family go through it if they ever wanted to talk to me about this disease and my life.
