are my syptoms Multiple Sclerosis?
Re: are my syptoms Multiple Sclerosis?
I found some methylcobalamin losanges at the local health food store in 1000microgram dosage. What do you think?

Re: are my syptoms Multiple Sclerosis?
How would I take them? 1 a day with meals?
Re: are my syptoms Multiple Sclerosis?
just take them in the afternoon rather than in the morning. there's a circadian rhythm to b12 levels. levels are naturally lower in the morning.
that is not to say i know how quickly blood levels rise after a sublingual dose. but i do know when ppl have complained of insomnia in the past, sometimes they might need to back off on the high doses of b12 in the morning. while others might benefit from an evening dose of magnesium.

Re: are my syptoms Multiple Sclerosis?
Cyano, hydro, or methyl?Just so you know, I'm now taking a sublingual B12 with folate. According to "Could It Be B12?" the combination was found to reduce homocysteine better than either B12 or folate taken separately.
Re: are my syptoms Multiple Sclerosis?
I'm currently taking methylcobalamin. It has 1000 µg. There is also 400 µg folic acid. I recently decided to take 2/day. I've been taking sublingual B12 for 5 weeks now and go in for follow-up testing on the 29th. I will do a three day washout first so that unsaturated B12 binding capacity can be tested. It will be interesting to see if my levels have changed any.chad wrote:Cyano, hydro, or methyl?Just so you know, I'm now taking a sublingual B12 with folate. By the way, I've only read about hydroxocobalamin with reference to B12 shots and not the sublingual form.

Do you have a thread that I can keep up with your results?NHE wrote:I'm currently taking methylcobalamin. It has 1000 µg. There is also 400 µg folic acid. I recently decided to take 2/day. Re: are my syptoms Multiple Sclerosis?
realistically chad if you are thinking of basing any personal decision-making based on NHE's experience, i think you'd want to keep in mind that NHE has been dealing with diagnosed and medicated ms for a very long time. in the early days as you are, and especially as a vegetarian, i should think you could expect a much more noticeable benefit from nutrition therapy (as well as cutting back on the tums
). if you are not in the financial condition to test zinc and magnesium, it won't hurt to try these supplements out

Re: are my syptoms Multiple Sclerosis?
I'm still thinking about raw beef liver put into vegetarian capsules
I just like to gather as many perspectives as I possibly can.
I'd like to treat it naturally without synthetic b12 if I can.
On a side note, my mom has heart and brain aneurysms, and I'm reading b12 is a POTENTIAL culprit there too!

No. Not at this time.chad wrote:Do you have a thread that I can keep up with your results?
Re: are my syptoms Multiple Sclerosis?
I have found pre packed frozen liver capsules, but I doubt the nutritional value is on par with fresh from the butcher. I could make them like I do my hemp seed oil pills.
Also I live in Washington state, so my fishing opportunities are limitless. I'm thinking river trout as I would like to avoid ocean fish like salmon which are possibly contaminated.

Re: are my syptoms Multiple Sclerosis?
my goodness, do they have a breakdown of nutrient composition per capsule?!

Re: are my syptoms Multiple Sclerosis?
^exactly my concern regarding local seafood. Fuku is a terrible event in so many ways.
I'll look into nutritional values on the frozen pills and post them later on.
