They also ran a Sed rate and CRP level on me, both of which came back abnormal. (Sed rate was at 32, CRP was at a 27.7)
I'm in the process of getting in with another doctor to redo the blood work because that was last taken in March. But these new symptoms have come up almost out of nowhere. Swelling and pain in the limbs has become almost a constant problem in both of my legs. My thighs and knees are swollen and hurt to move and just about give away if I walk more than 5 feet (I've been doing a lot of falling and catching myself within the past couple of days). Bruising from my falls are staying around for a long amount of time (more than a month; and they knot up under the skin). I've also had bouts of uncontrollable laughter and crying.
Also, in a course of about two weeks, I gained 20 pounds. No diet change whatsoever and I'd remained constant at my weight before this bout of weight gain, though I'd been trying to lose and haven't successfully dipped below that weight plateau (160 pounds.. now 180). I've tried to up my exercise, but this has made walking even more difficult and I can't seem to do much of anything without falling or hurting myself when trying to even walk in my house, let alone trying to exercise.
This is just so frustrating. I have no idea what's going on with my body and it's just so confusing. Any suggestions? I'm going to ask my new doctor to fit me for a cane with an arm brace or something at my next appointment for when my legs do things like this. Mobility at this point is a real struggle for me. I'm only 23. I shouldn't be having mobility issues.
