Stents in Poland

It appears Dr Simka used a variety of stents on different patients and in some cases people know the type of stent used. In my case, after 16 months of polite requests, he is not saying anything. This is an outrageous situation. He is presumably a qualified and apparently respected medical practitioner who should know the expected standards of medical reporting.

He has been told quite clearly that his vague verbal assurances are not going to satisfy a respected hospital in Australia. He knows this but still refuses to co-operate.

But, like said, did he used stents that were not MRI proof?

if not, you know enough...

Dr. Simka said most stents in use after what was it, 2005, have been MRI-proof. This is unfortunately probably because of some catastrophic event which happened then. Unfortunately, this is how a world learns. They are most probably like mine (in my chest) which are cobalt. To be clearer, the magnetic force even of a 1 Tesla machine could cause a lot of damage: I am told a small steel object could accelerate like a bullet.

If all this is true I doubt older stents have been kept around. That could be a grave clerical error.

I think what he meant about larger machines was that even stents made of cobalt might not be pure enough at those high magnetic forces. Perhaps even ones which do not move with a 1 Tesla machine might have enough residual iron to be affected. If I had one in my neck I certainly would not chance it. on the "big iron". But I have had MRI with stents in my chest with no mishap.

I think Dr. Simka should not be expected to keep track of who has bought a 7-Tesla MRI machine, or in which country.
