It is an extracorporeal therapy. This method is also used during plasma donation. I donated my blood more than five times. But, it is not same as plasmapheresis. So, I think I have not tried this yet.

Hello!!

I have tried the plasma treatment. I underwent this treat due to optic nueritis incident that left me half blind. My doctor was hoping that it would help get some of my vision left. Of course i have tiny rolling viens and they had to put in a tube in my chest to even consider the treatments. I have to say this treatment was gross visually. I watched my blood go through the maching and a big bag filled up with a dirty yellow liquid. And i mean the bag was huge by time i was done. I was astonished that that much liquid was in my body.

Anyway back to the question. For me the treatment did not work. I am still half blind and have a nice little scar.
