Spinal Cord alteration in multiple sclerosis could lead to new therapeutic target

I have seen drugs come and go on the basis of remyelination effects in mice. Since we have evidence of important differences in the lifetimes of and factors in the growth of oligodendrocytes in mice vs humans, should we not ask for some better evidence than EAE before committing support for human trials?
