Negative MRI
Negative MRI
I have been experiencing MS like symptoms. Right not I am in the process of ruling out other diseases. I recently had an mri and the radiologist told my dr.it was ok. However, when I looked at images there was a visible white spot that appeared in some of the images. Is it possible the radiologist overlooked the spot or thought it was insignificant? Is it possible when I see a neuro...he will have a different story to tell?

Re: Negative MRI
Hi dmsmith & welcome! The short answer to your questions are, YES and YES.dmsmith04 wrote:I have been experiencing MS like symptoms. Right not I am in the process of ruling out other diseases. I recently had an mri and the radiologist told my dr.it was ok.

Diagnosis is often a long process, so relax a bit, take a deep breath, and wait to hear what the neuro says. And feel free to ask more questions. Keep in mind that WE are patients, too, and NOT experts, but we post links to a lot of good information. Good luck!
Dx'd with MS & HNPP (hereditary peripheral neuropathy) 7/03 but must have had MS for 30 yrs before that. I've never taken meds for MS except 1 yr experiment on LDN. (I found diet, exercise, sleep, humor, music help me the most.)
Re: Negative MRI
Thank you! My most serious symptoms (numbness in toes and hands, dropping things because fingers feel weak) have just recently started (last Oct). However, I have been complaining of dizziness/vertigo for some time now. Last year I was diagnosed with IC of bladder. I am not saying I am convinced I have ms, but more the idea I want to make sure my dr.s can absolutely rule it out. So far I have been to my primary dr and had my first rheumatologist app.
