Hi,
My experience of MRI's is that the neurologist relies on a written report from the technical people rather than trust his own judgment. Sometimes the demyelination or cord expansion is obvious and sometimes spots are interpreted as incidental. If the same provider has done a series of images over time the reports should reference changes.
I wouldn't worry about the image itself, it is the report that matters. You should be able to get those.
Regards

"I am asking for your opinion concerning the images that I was given for 2009 and 2010."
Understanding a MRI can be difficult and requires significant training to get it right. It is probably best to leave the reading of your MRIs to those with the necessary medical training.
My experience is contrary to that of Scott1. I saw two neurologists prior to my diagnosis. Both read the MRIs themselves rather than rely on a technician.

Hi,
Of course, this raises the obvious question of what are they going to do with the information they glean?
MS is a lot more than spots on an MRI. Even if they know where every spot is it will not change their treatment protocol. The observed damage just tells them a little about pronounced areas of demyelination that might explain some symptoms. Nothing more. There won't be any plan to intervene just an intention to observe changes over time.
If some spots resolve themselves they either pat themselves on the back or say "wow". If you continue to display new lesions they might use that as a marker to argue for a change of protocol (they may not). I wouldn't be too fussed about the MRI. Focus on treating symptoms that affect you.
Regards
