Crackling in ear

Post by Tif »

So for the last couple of months I've noticed a random crackling in my right ear. It's not as if it were equalizing. The sound kind of reminds me of the cereal, Rice Krispies, when you pour milk on them...that popping or crackling sound. Anyone else out there experience this?

The other thing that happened was in April. I went on vacation for 2 weeks in Maui, and noticed that I had swelling in my legs and ankles/feet. Honestly I didn't think too much about it, just noticed it and thought 'that's weird...never noticed that before'. By the second week my abilities were going down hill, my hands had so much numbness I couldn't text, I dropped the best-'Maui Shaved Ice', trouble with knife and all those sorts of things. My walking was worse, whole body felt weaker. Once I got home, I looked up ms & swollen legs and found edema and that it can make ms worse...definitely made me worse, I got to see into my next step in decline....not pretty. But I have to admit, I haven't stopped at looking at places to go back. Do you think the ear issue is related to my edema? Anyone hear that crackling noise?

Thanks for any answers!

I have constant ringing in my right ear and frequent (daily) in my left ear. I sometimes have the crackle sound you mention as well as other sounds. It is extremely annoying!!!

I get a high pitch ringing, actually have it now. I was talking with someone about the crackling, and they got me wondering if it has to do with my allergies....if it's draining or whatever happens with allergies and the ears. I don't know if it's from the allergies and congestion or something ms related. Do you have allergies causing congestion?
